So I went out with Tim this afternoon; I didn't think I'd do much today, but Laura texted me to check out the thrift store in Goleta, then Tim called about hanging out in Ventura. I got some clothes at the thrift store with Laura, took her home, and drove to AGIA to park and get picked up by Tim. We went to Ventura, stopped at Wienerschnitzel for a bite to eat, and walked around a park overlooking the ocean and walked around for a while, then drove to a seaside shopping area and walked around there for a bit.
We stopped in the arcade and played some Guitar Hero 3, which I kicked his booty at; then we took turns playing something like the claw game, only it's positioning a robot hand with razors on the two fingers at JUST THE RIGHT SPOT on either side of a string that's holding some expensive prizes suspended inside the container. I tried goin for the DS Lite a couple times, but it was tricky. Tim tried for a DS game that was closest to the robot hand's starting position, but also kept failing, but I got a good idea of the timing from watching him go for it, so then I said I'd try getting that instead of the DS, AND I MANAGED TO GET IT! It was too awesome! XD The game had a stuffed bear attached, so I took the bear and gave him the game. 8DDDD I think we spent 6 or 8 bucks on it... it was pretty sweet, LOL!
So then we walked around a bit more before going to the mall to poke around and see what we could find at Hot Topic and Gamestop. We spotted a little vendor cart that was selling wooden roses that surprised me, because I had seen them in Monrovia once before but didn't really expect to see them again elsewhere. Tim bought me a lovely little arrangement, I'll have to set them up somewhere. We stopped at Barnes & Noble to see what kind of comics they had there... went to the pier, found it was closed off because the water was swelling so much, so we left and drove around to see what we could see. We stopped at Arby's to get a bite, which was taaaaasty treats, then we stopped at a kickass candy & soda store and poked our heads in there briefly, which I got a video of that I'll post later.
