So I think my computer is royally fucked... or it may be, according to Jose. I'll find out soon enough.
If it is, I guess I'll have to try and back up whatever important stuff off the hd with a cable that'll connect it to Ronni's laptop...

EDIT: I found my school email address that I never used, so maybe I could still get Windows 7 for $30...?
