Putting my library back, thank gawd!!
The workmen were in today fixing both the popcorn ceilings in the library, as well as the popcorn section of the long kitchen into living room ceiling crack. they were quick and professional and I managed to keep my cool through all of it, which I'm sure made things much easier for MC! Now were just waiting for them to mend the more obvious kitchen ceiling portion which has a flat surface. Needless to say I was deliriously happy to be able to start putting the library back and I'm taking the opportunity to make it a bit more orderly (taking the stance that all this was more of a "spring cleaning" than the traumatic event it actually was.) hence I'm going to be putting out a few less statues on top of the shelves as well as fewer large figures on the video shelves in the living room.
I'll hopefully be able to have people over for Tangent Movie next month (a regular event I've been holding since the late 90's,so it must be coming onto the 10th anniversary) were we watch a bunch of movies but have to argue a jumping off point, or "tangent", from one film to the next, the more esoteric the better. I've also promised the engineer a mini Jimmy Cagney fest the next time I have him over.
