I. Ran. 2. Miles. I'm not sure I've ever done that in my life! Linkin Park is the best running coach and here's why.

Relevant lyrics-

Track 1:  "A face that laughs every time they fall" Don't fall down on the treadmill.

Track 2: "I need a little room to breathe" Crap I think I have asthma.

"shut up shut up shut up shut up!!!" Ok! Ok! I don't have asthma! I'm running!!!

Track 4: "Cover up your face / You can’t run the race / The pace is too fast / You just won't last" Oh yes I can biatch watch me!!

Track 7: "With thoughts of failure sinking in..." Don't fail don't fail don't fail!!!

Track 9: "Shut...up" That's right inner asthmatic, shut up!! Keep running!

So, yeah. 2 miles. and then some walking. And more running. And then walking again. And I was pretty close to having the first 2 miles being 10 minute miles. Which is kind of astounding considering, you know. It's me. It just goes to show you don' know what you can do until you push yourself beyond your previously held expectations. I was really worried I would get on the treadmill, and find out I had absolutely no endurance. But now I feel like at least finishing the half marathon in March is a reasonable goal.
