hm, i think i just almost died.
being a little bit of an idiot, i decided that i was tired of sitting in the library and wanted to go work out at the gym. i had planned for this, and already had my little gym shoes in my bag. so i grabbed my shoes, and bundled up, and ventured out into the ice storm, which has now escalated up to extremely strong winds + ice. (can we say frostbite?) basically, i'm heading through the arctic tundra in order to go to the gym ( = i am from california).
now here's the fun part... when i reach the football field area, which is lined with streetlights, i walk directly under a streetlamp that immediately sparks up and blows out AS I'M UNDER IT. i'm thinking, 'oh shit oh shit, i'm not electricuted' when all of the sudden the entire field of lights blow out at the exact same second, lighting up the entire sky, resembling a micro nuclear explosion. standing there alone in shock with my little gym shoes, while pellits of ice smack against my face, i said "FUCK THE GYM" and ran for dear life back to the library, where i safely sit now.
the adventures of living in maine.
...
and then i just checked my e-mail to receive this photo from my dad of my home:
oh the irony.
