the past two days have been wonderful....
[painting by t. putnam]
last night i visited with my beloved friend, and true muse to my life, dr. putnum/ pinky/ tyler.
that boy never ceases to amaze me. we spent some lovely hours philosophizing life and discussing his recent and outrageous artworks, and just doing our usual random conversation. this kid truly saved me in high school, and i love him every day for it. plus, who else dips raw meat in glitter and hangs the pieces in trees around shopping malls as a stance against consumption? how does that even make sense? what a weirdo. i'm so happy he's doing well in school though. kansas city art school seems like a cool place to be.
on another note, i bought a super-sweet vintage vest....
today i again decided i needed to get out of suburbia so i hoped on a ferry to san francisco to the museum of modern art. tyler was originally going to accompany me, but his boss called him that morning to come in and work, and then anthony had work and couldn't go, but luckily laura could, so off we went.
in short, MOMA is my mom. it's not like i haven't been there numerous times before, but i just love it. we saw a film on lichtenstein in his studio which was moderately cool. the collection that the museum holds is just outstanding in general. here are a few snapshots...
good times.
