Its quiet here in the Music Building. We've lost one of our own.
I'm sitting here in the computer lab, and you can feel the silence. Chaz, a trumpet player here, committed suicide today from what everyone has heard. I found out when I went down stairs and found out band was canceled because of it.
I knew Chaz. He was my friend Jon's roomate. We never really hung out. He wasn't the most popular person in the building. Many people thought he was gross. We said hi to each other in the hall. I never heard him play trumpet except for when he was in the band or in the trumpet choir.
I don't know really what's going on right now in my head. Around me, people are reacting to different degrees, which is normal, but I don't know how to act. I mean, I said hi to him in the hall occassionally. Now he's gone. I can't cry about his loss. I wiss I could.
