Some of you may have noticed my absence at gatherings and the club and such since New Years. The reason is simple... and i would really prefer that people would listen to what i say and not go making their own assumptions. I am finally taking some good advice and "working on myself". There are several reasons for this, I will list them below

Sounds like a good plan to me. What kind of car do you have? I assume it its an automatic. Check the transmission fluid after the car is warm, and tell me if it is foamy, dark, dark red, or has a burnt smell.

a Saturn SL1 1996. fluid looks normal... seems to me like there may be a clog somewhere in the lines.

Luckily the filter is super easy to change, its on the outside and looks just like an oil filter. I would beg/con/bribe/intimidate somebody to change the fluid & filter on the Saturn before giving up hope. Or you could crawl under the car & get dirty yourself.

i would def. do it myself if i were sure what i was doing. Maybe someone could be bribed to do it.

It's super easy with that car.
I have to check mine, but I think it has a drain plug. The filter is a screw on type on the outside of the transmission, so it is much easier to change the filter.

If it doesn't have a plug, then the pan has to be removed. It's not really difficult, but there are a lot of bolts, and it gets real messy.
