Lorne frowned a bit as they stepped outside, dropping his hand from her back as he turned and started down the sidewalk. It wasn't far to the nearest functioning grocery store, and aside from that, he didn't exactly know how to drive. They were stuck being avid pedestrians. "I know know if I'd call them overpriced," he countered as they walked. "I always liked to assume that those few extra cents counted for the extra services we provided."
It took him a moment to realized just how bad that sounded. "Caritas was a karaoke bar," he quickly explained, flashing Anya a brief but nervous smile. "People would come, drink, sing, and I'd read them. Tell them their destinies. Sort of like fortune-telling, only... accurate, and with a lot more classics murdered in the reading process."
