Broadening my dancing repertoire is something I've been wanting to do for awhile. (and since I cannot tap to save my life) recent prospects of jazz, lyrical, and MODERN have come into my life. Well...sort of into my life, in the form of day dreams. Because my mother won't pay for the classes. I guess it might be a lot to ask for, on top of marching band, and ski season (hopefully)...but it's something I've been passionate about since I was five, looking up to my older step-cousin Julie, graceful in a pink leotard and satin shoes, standing on one leg as the other was outstretched effortlessly behind her body, perfectly in control, her line of vision somewhere far beyond everything..
I know, passionate a five years old, right?
It just gets me deep down that the deciding factor in all this is money.
My mom even went so far as to say "maybe you want to give up ballet for a year and try lyrical and modern," which left me completely in awe, as I've been doing ballet ever since I ran up to my dad and told him I wanted to be like my older step-cousin Julie. Ballet is the foundation of everything.
