This weekend was gooood.
Friday night was the first home football game. As we are on Prom Committee, Ellie, Clare and I spent most of our time selling 50/50. Grace did too.. and Michelle Donarski helped out as well, even though she's not on committee which is really nice of her. St. Bede lost but we collected $620 and were able to keep $310. Not a bad start.
Saturday I drove to Geneseo and hung out with Naaathan. It was an amazing time. I always have fun when I go to see him. We ended up just driving around and he told me lots of stories. We went to Richmond Hill.. which is really multiple hills. There's a frisbee gold course and a playground and we slid down this gigantic awesome slide that is actually built into a hill. Then we spun on the merry-go-round until three little boys showed up taking about diahrrea and things of that nature. So Nathan spun them on the merry-go-round super fast and we left. Cute kids. As we were walking back up the hill to our car they yelled things like "HEY! HEY! ARE YOU DATINGG??" hahaa. After Richmond Hill we drove to random nearby towns and found a Quiznos. Neither of us had eaten at a Quiznos so we decided to try it. The workers weren't to fond of us because we showed up about 10 minutes to closing time but we didnt care. We left, came back, sat around and I left at 1130 which was a big bummer. I always think the car ride home is going to suck but I this time I had Rilo Kiley by my side to keep me sane.
Yesterday Nathan picked me up around 2 and we went to Joelle's to hang out with her and her friend/bf/question mark Jake. This is the third time I met him and third times a charm because I like him alot more now. Not that I didn't like him... it's just that he opened up a little more. Anyway, us four watched Sin City and then ran to the grocery store to pick up some paper plates for Joelle's family's Labor Day party-ish picninc thing. We did so, picked up Clare, called Ellie, Ellie was a no show, partied it up and chowed down with the Jo's fam, watched tennis with Grandma and tried to help Grandpa with a word game. After the partayy we watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 and everyone fell asleep except for me and Jake. Then everyone simultaneously woke up. Throughout the rest of the right we would order eachother to do "TEN FLIPS! NOW!" and make fun of Splinter for this:
Random Turtle: Hey! Where's Master Splinter?
April: Oh, he's on the porch.
Another Random Turtle: What's he doing?
Splinter: COMMING.....*significant pause and dramatic camera change to Splinter standing at the window* .... to a decision
Perrrrvert.
Later that evening we went to Baker's lake and then to Blockbuster where Nathan picked out The Believer and Boys Don't Cry. The second one was definately a joke but Clare picked it up anyway. We watched The Believer.. it was about a modern Nazi skin head kid with Jewish roots(Ryan Gosling). Throughout the movie he kind of battles with himself and realizes that he's wrong in the end. It kind of made me sad. haha..That's actually a pretty superficial thing to say about such a heavy subject.
After the movie we set up camp downstairs and were in and out of sleep and being obnoxious and loud and talking. One minute Joelle would be sound asleep and then she'd be laughing and telling me a story. It was a really good night and the first time in a long time I was able to spend the night with Nathan. Oh, good memories of our co-ed sleepovers in Joelle's basement, trying to sneak down Nathan, Luke and Clayton.
Poor Jake had to leave at 8 in the morning and had a 4 hour train delay in Chicago. Me, Clare and Nathan woke up around 10ish and left after finding Joelle watching Dr. Phil while snuggled up on her couch. I had practice at 3 and thought my arms were going to fall off the first our or so. Eventually I was unnecessary, as it was an offensive practice and I am a mostly defensive player. So I just fed balls to coach and slid through the rest of practice. The team dinner at Fuzz's... chilled with the girls, ate alot of cookies.
School again tomorrow. I don't really have any homework that needs to be done. Thank God I'm a senior.
