This daily sewing

I'm pushing myself to sew just a little bit everyday. It gives me some sense of accomplishment, and it helps me make steady, if slow, progress on my stuff. So today's review : chaotic morning, as strange as it seems for a family with a toddler and a newborn, we all got up a little late and had to rush to get the four of us ready to go to the hospital (eye check-up for Heimlich). We then dropped Heimlich at the sitter, prepared some food for tonight, I went book shopping (I now have a big stack of new reading material, though I'm sad I didn't find any of your recommended reading... I'll keep looking or I'll just order online), got some new toys for Heimlich and a skirt for myself, and I managed to get some buttonholes done on the skeleton suit. The jacket part is hemmed at the bottom, I need to hem the sleeves, add a collar and closures (implies : make a bazillion buttons). I'm starting to think I might need to line the front, too, the fabric is a bit limp and I'm afraid the buttons might pull at it too much... As for the pants, the fly is almost done, I just need to attach the buttons I made.
but right now I'm going to take advantage of the fact tha tHeimlichis still at the sitter's and prep some more food for tomorrow. Nothing like having some headstart on that to avoid going to bet a tthe stupidest time possible...

just bloggin', skeleton suit
