as someone who suffeed in childhood from the effects of Domestic violence, i do care about what is going on, especially in the UK.

No, i don't like the Daily Mail, but a stopped clock gets the time right twice a day. i don't see any leftish papers in the UK running with this , so i gather what info I can. as far as I am concerned, the cites are given and the story checks out. Piizzey herself blames Feminist activists for trying to hiijack a movement she started.

In terms of my own experience, my dad was the kind of guy who was the stereotype - blue collar, mine worker, doing a crap job for crap money- and that made it ok in his eyes to go out, get drunk, then come home and beat his wife.

Ok, but my grandparents were not those sort of people , on either side of the family. i am not, and my brother isn't.
I would suggest that anyone waving a banner saying ' men are the problem' has go it wrong. My dad's problem was not that he was a man , but that he was a loser.

I may not 'dominate the world' as you suggest, I don't even have the power to control the markets and the economy and prevent the country going into recession from time to time - consequently, i have been laid off from time to time and found myself out of work. however, i have never come home drunk and hit my wife. And this is a big difference that some feminists need to acknowledge before they come waving banners and telling the world what men are and men are not. A bit of reading on "essentialism" may clear their heads , I think.

Anyway, you seem to have some very strong views on the subject. you are welcome to tell me what you think - dunno how you got here, but you are welcome to my LJ. I also belong to a group called 'talk politics'. you will find it in my list of communities, and i would like to invite you to join that too.
Happy New Year.
