i know it's been a while since I've written in here... but here goes anyways.
I'm moving out in a month exactly. Well, August first. I can't wait. As I said to a buddy of mine earlier: no one will EVER make me wear pants again. I'll be right across the street from Crack Mac's, if anyone knows downtown c-town at all. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to visit.
I picked up my tool tickets the other day. I'm disappointed that they're so fucking far away from the stage, but money's tight as always... I'm just excited to see them again. It seems like yesterday I was asking that undercover pig if he knew "lucy", freaking out, then describing a fictional girl instead of the drug. Speaking of lucy, I found
this. I think Mel will enjoy this more than anyone and I hope you get the chance to check it out mel. Very cool shit.
My band is just auditioning for new vocalists and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a taxing experience for all of us. But it's a long way to the top... so to speak. We just recorded part of a new song on friday actually, in my drummer's absence. It's very prog compared to our other stuff, and I can't wait to write the rest of it.
Work is shit, but it's honing my mind to revolt. I know there's fishy shit goin down... poor training, incompetent management, retarded union... it's all very interesting though. The company is owned by Jim Pattison (the Donald Trump of western Canada) and the other day I found out that the union (which really isn't a union at all-it's the Christian labor Association of Canada-CLAC) was actually brought in by Pattison, and not the workers. So I'm kind of skeptical of the negotiations that are going on right now, or rather the negotiations that have just gone into mediation... What's their adgenda? What's going on?
My friend and I are doing a pseudo-fear and loathing trip to Jasper... I can't say more right now, but I hope I can find someone to run the story/report.
Is the present merely a fleeting illusion? Is memory our only solace in a world we're constantly forgetting?
anyways, There's more, but not for now.
