So we went and visited Arizona. It was wonderful. I loved it. I already knew I loved it. We attempted to get bumped on our flight back so we could stay... apparently noone wanted to leave cause a bunch of ppl asked before we did.
It was warm, and by warm I mean fucking hot... but I justify that by this: In NY I have to spend 2+ months indoors because it is too damn cold to go outside. In Arizona I'll have to spend 2+ months inside cause it is too damn hot... or go sit in a pool. I can't go in a pool to get warm in NY.
It is pretty definite that we will be going there as long as David gets into ASU, which really shouldn't be a problem. We didn't spend much time in Phoenix though, we were in the Sedona area mostly. Twas beautiful. I miss my parents so much.
ASU campus. It looked like a college. Which was a pretty good thing for it to look like.
we saw elk. who knew?
I dragged my parents to this awesome church we always drive by on my visits. It was designed by one of frank lloyd wrights students.
I annoyed everyone by demanding a stop at annoying roadside attractions
We hiked in 110 degree weather. In case you were wondering... thats never a good idea.
The crazy bf went all the way to the top of bell rock while me and my mom waited in the shade so we didn't die. This was apparently the view from up there. Instead of seeing it, I stayed down below and got stung by bees. Woohoo. Good times.
I made friends with a yucca plant
We went to Tlaquepaque to look at art I can't afford and sit on my favorite tree
we found water to swim in! check plus!
rocks told me they loved me...
we trekked all over the grand canyon. funny... most ppl never get to see it, I've seen it a million times. Its still beautiful. I still scare my mom when I climb over the guardrails to get to the edges...
we went to palatki to see some 900 year old writings and climb around in an old ruin dwelling. it was so cool
this one is a deer with a crab claw head... or at least thats my interpretation
I found the coolest tree roots entwining with rocks
and saw beautiful sunsets... this photo does them no justice
