When I was about four or five (can't remember which) he left. No warning or anything, just full abandonment. My sister dealt with it better than me and my brother, though. (probably because she was older) Anyway took me till I was ten to deal with it, and then I got sucked into the Digital World and got tricked to work for a nutso digimon.
At least you're someone who doesn't mince words. As for the holiday... Well I guess I can understand why some people like it. Some of my friends for instance.

Honestly, I don't see the appeal of the holiday personally, but I can understand why other people do. They have fathers who weren't total bastards.
