This is either early or late, but oh well.

First things first…

‘Harry and me? It’s a sexual thing.’

LOVE ♥

Also,

Harry/Lucas < Harry/Malcolm.

That said, do you think anyone’s told the writer’s not to feed the fangirls?

Speaking of feeding the fangirls…

BENCH MEETING

‘What do you mean?’
‘You know what I mean’

‘But there was something else, too.’
‘There’ll always be something else, Ruth’

These two will kill me one of these fine days.

And as for Ros, she just gets better and better this series, though I will miss the Ros/Jo interactions - for me, those moments really make Spooks into Spooks, and not some silly, mildly entertaining spy version of Casualty. Ditto Malcolm/Ros and Malcolm/Harry. I really wish they hadn't got rid of both of them this series, and between them, Malcolm & Jo formed a lot of the lighter entertainment that stops Spooks being depressing.

I was actually very surprised by this episode, reading the synopsis in the paper made me think that perhaps it was going to be a bit too Lucas-centric, which is all very well and good but, for me at least, Spooks' main selling point is the ensemble cast. But the writers - who, IMHO, are on top form this year - managed to stop Lucas dominating the episode, but still filled out his backstory and weaved that into the plot. And we got a bench meeting. I'm hoping that we'll find out some more about Tariq in the next few weeks. And get decent replacements for Jo and Ben.

Christine Sarah continues to get on my nerves. Hopefully, Ros'll get round to killing her with some cutlery soon.

What did you think?
