NARUTO:
I did not think Kishimoto could save it, however, by reminding us of the moral ambiguity that Konoha seemed to so incredibly lack, I feel he has saved himself a bit. I mean, the direction is possibly fairly obvious: the younger generation will redeem and defeat the sins of the past, the Forest will be represented by Naruto and the Uchiha by Sasuke (or, perhaps, Madara in an Unexpected Twist?) in some epic final battle, which makes sense - because Sasuke was, after all, designed to be Naruto's rival and the main cause of ISSUE in the manga.
But, young redemption --> I still doubt he'll die for it.
I wonder if Itachi left because of a mixture of disgust (not nec. moral)/his failure to kill Sasuke? Not to suddenly humanize him into this HERO, as HAH GOOD YES YUM he did kill the Uchiha, but, you know.

A little bit of a dragger, probably because I don't care about whatshisface 9th Division. Sry, guy, you're a little too like every other angry, jerk with a heart of gold, lol TV Tropes. But, I totally called that kid being Hisagi.
Still intrigued by Urahara's intense moral ambiguity which is so, so highlighted now more than ever, and wondering where it will leave him in Present Day. Also ldsamfldsngkjd Mayuri.

The, the we knew it would happen with Mai, but oh my, oh my. I can't believe some fans are dumb enough to call it THE END OF MAIKO lol fucking idiots. BUT SOKKA+ZUKO BUDDY BONDING IS A MAJOR YEEEEESSSSSSS, as is SUKI, and adslm no wonder Azula is so ANGRY INSANE later on. I hope Ty Lee and Mai don't stay in prison for the rest of the season D:.
