I WAS WATCHING PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN ON THE ONLY LINK THAT WORKED AND--AND--IT CUT OUT WHEN
NORRINGTON GOT STABBED NOOOOOOOO. Great line, though. Man, Norrington, I love you. There was NOT enough of you. It pisses me off that he had this REDEMPPTIIVE death, because he went a sort of Prince Zuko route in the prior--why should anyone be surprised that the military man would turn away from the pirates toward the government? PIRATES? PIRATES WHO KILLED HAVE KILLED ETC HIS MEN?
Mostly, I mourn the absence of Jack and Norrington interaction. The Jack-Beckett interaction was HIGHLARIOUS. So pwned. SO PWNED.
The bit with Governor Swann was actually... really, legitimately, heart-breakeningly sad, my god. It was terribly wow. It just, wow. I can't quite get over that. And Bootstrap, too? With Elizabeth. My heartstrings have been very pulled.
All in all, the movie has so far been FAR SUPERIOR to the second, with the reused jokes actually... bearable. The uh, bit with all the Jacks and the Jacks on the shoulders was kind of XDDDD;;, but my Depp fangirlism may allow it.
The opening, everything, I've really enjoyed it. I want to see it in theatres even more :(. NORRINGTON NOOOOOOOOOOOO I LOVE YOU COME BACK BEAR MY CHILDREN. stupid liz-love. Though she is looking finer than ever. Tia Dalma, too. I really hope this Norrington bit isn't going to signal a similar fate for Percy, WHO NEEDS REDEMPTION EVEN LESS. OH NO SIDE WITH THE GOVERNMENT LIKE THE WHOLE WIZARDING WORLD, FIGHT WITH YOUR FAMILY, CLEARLY THE BOY MUST DIE TO BE REDEEMED.

Fucking tv-links. Um. Been re-reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Philosopher's Stone in my free moments here. Sometimes let my brain get ahead and I think I may need to skim it again. I wish I could do so and STOP my head from immediately jumping to theories and years of sucking in everyone else's opinion online.
