Dearest Leo... I need you to perform an extraction

Mar 11, 2011 22:08

My mom convinced dad to watch Inception, whilst on their romantic getaway. After the two hours and twenty-three minutes he spent watching the film (why yes, he did time it), he has concluded that his brain is now broken.

Luckily, the cruise ship had one of the Jason Bourne movies on board, so he should be fine.

And he calls me crazy.

movie: inception, sci-fi makes daddy cry, movie: bourne trilogy, amber is crazy., my dad the fanboy

Just wanted to congratulate you on your win in the Pretty Deadly Awards -- it couldn't happen to a more deserving author! :)

"Our Mrs. Cobb" won in the category of most humorous story (the link in my previous comment should take you directly to that category and the lovely banner). "The Quest for Happily Ever After" and "The Company Picnic" were also nominated in that category, and I had a hard time choosing which one to vote for.

You were also nominated by me and some other folks in a number of other categories, including Angst ("Giselle"), Adventure ("Giselle" again), Pre-Rayne ("Our Mrs. Cobb" again), River-centric ("Little Girl Lost", "Giselle", and "Neither Here nor There"), Fluff ("Our Mrs. Cobb" again), and Continuous Fic ("Giselle" again -- and yes, I voted for you in that category also, in hopes that you might be inspired and encouraged to pick that tale up again someday, selfish pig that I am!).

In other words, your nominations were only outnumbered by those for the extremely prolific goddessofbirth, which is saying a lot! :)

Oh my goodness! I can't believe I was nominated so many times! And for all of my stories too.

Thank you so much for voting for me. And you can be sure that soon I will be bothering you night and day with updates for "Giselle" - my fingers are itching so badly to return to that story again, which I will do as soon as I finish my last school projects. Gah! I'm so excited and honoured and happy and just barely resisting breaking into a victory dance. Thanks again. :D

I wish I had a "Numfar, do the dance of joy!" icon to use here.

But go ahead and victory dance away, by all means -- you deserve it!
