Okay, I feel morally obligated to comment on these a point at a time.

1. I have to admit that I totally knew this one. Keep in mind that the only reason I do have this fact committed to memory is that I've read Giselle, as it currently exists, about five times. It's like that favorite television show episode or movie that you've seen a hundred times. It doesn't matter how often I read it, it's just as good the next time.

2. Shoes that don't fit. That made me smile like a total fool. Why, you ask? Because when she's walking without shoes you'd never know she was there until she touched you or intentionally moved into your field of vision. Clomping around so that she makes noise is a perfectly River thing do.

3. I hope Jayne beat his ass for this. Seriously. Beat him up. I don't care if he was helping and I very seriously doubt Jayne would either.

4. "Practical purposes." That's a laugh out loud excuse right there. Not because they can't beat to be without the other or anything. That would be silly.

5. ...And you made me cry. With a factoid. About a fictional character in a canon you have created. I don't know whether I should throw something at you through the internets or stand and applaud.

1. You spoil me. You really do. :) I choose this fact because despite my fic, this is a really big part of my own personal canon and explains why we've never seen any of the other Readers from the Academy, why the Alliance is so desperate to get River back, and more importantly, it explains that one flashback in Safe when the Browncoats had dinosaurs on their side.

2. I love River and her ill-fitting boots so much.

3. Jayne had to wait a few months to beat Simon up as Simon had to heal after donating a part of his own liver to save River, but yeah. I think he broke Simon's nose.

4. In my head, Jayne and River are the two most unromantic people in existence and have to do everything in their relationship for a practical reason (I'm thinking that they both forget their anniversary for several years running). Yet - they are always having these amazingly passionate moments that we all wish for.

5. Aww... I'm sorry. *hugs* But not really. >D

Since I guess I did kinda cheat for point number one, I'll give you a new fact regarding one River Tam.

Bonus:

River's first meeting with Jayne's cousins, Erin and Luce Hunter does not go well. This could most likely be because Erin had just sold Jayne to some Feds (it's one of those family things, don't ask) and River went all crazy Alliance fighting machine on their asses. It was only the reappearance of Jayne (who'd just escaped his captors) that saved the two bounty hunters, who then proceeded to take the couple out to dinner and rip Jayne the entire evening on his lovely girl.

If you don't write a whole chapter based solely on this fact I will be sorely disappointed. I might even frown. That's how excited I am at the prospect of a much wordier version of this fact. It's squee-worthy.
