i'll miss everyone next year...
...but i do love change!
I had an amazing weekend. Saturday was fun with the start of Sign Team for Goldrush XL05 and then the party at Lynda's house with the IB Art kids. We had so much fun, even though her table did fall over and shatter in the storm. Then i picked up Dayna and we did a little bit of Crafts for College/Clayfest until Steph came over. We arrived at the end of the year party at the bricks to find NO ONE there but David Franklin! It was still ridiculously fun, though, because David had rented a contraption where you hit a target to pop a ballon on someone's head. Basically Steph and I got soaked and had balloon fights with David, Dayna, and Daniel.
Sunday morning was really sad. I didn't think David's talk was extra special, but it did make me realize what I will be leaving behind this fall.
I've gone to Perimeter for 14 years. It's where I've made the best friends of my life and had amazing experiences that most ppl will never even come close to having. I would not trade the times that I've spent there for the world, and God has really made it a second home for me.
I can only hope that the relationship with God that has developed in this place since I was four will be fully sustained with my transition into college. Sorry for all this sentimental stuff (at least for me it is). Perimeter has been my refuge for almost my entire life.
Sunday evening I had T-Shirt time with Phaffers and then went to Lenox with her and Becky. We had an awesome time as usual. I hope we get to spend a lot of time together this summer.
Today was a lot of fun, too. Brought snackage for the psych kids and went to lunch w/ everyone. Board games at the 'bou.
It really feels like summer. What an illusion that is so close to not being one.
