Hi.
So School is busy now that the opera is over. I'm trying to get caught up, and get ready for the MET competition next weekend. The opera director assigned David Pershall and I a scene from Aida. I think he's crazy, but the duet is not taxing at all for me, so I don't mind. I worry about David though, he's just a baby. He sight read it like a rock star - we just have to be sure that he doesn't push. I called VC and told him, and he said it was fine, we could do it, he'd just coach David through it.
Today I need to figure out how I'm gonna get Marjorie's ass from Houston so she can ride down to San Antonio for the competition with us. I'm excited to be able to spend a weekend away with Marjorie, David, and Thomas. Some of my favoritest people.
Tonight there are three things I want to see, and they are all at the same time. Love Letters, a play that is featuring a legendary acting duo right here in Waco, The Vagina Monologues, which I've never seen in person, and the Benefit for the American Cancer Society, which is featuring the Jazz Ensemble and the Symphony. Now I can see Love Letters tomorrow, too, so that solves that, but monologues or American Cancer Society? We'll just have to see. I could always donate to the Cancer Concert and go see Monologues, but I REALLY want to see the concert too. Meh
