It's Fall Rush Month! Do you think you want to give Greek Life a try?
It's time for all of you aspiring brothers and sisters to learn about the different Houses you can join. Remember that deciding on a fraternity or sorority doesn't mean you're automatically a member; the members of the fraternity or sorority of your choice will be deciding as well if they want to take you in, so we hope you make great impressions on your future brothers and sisters. (If not, there's always the next rush period which will come in spring.) Please keep in mind that rushing and pledging takes work! If you are rushing a house, you need to impress your potential brothers and sisters and let them know you really want to be part of their house. Don't wait for them to approach you or tell you what to do. And while hazing is not allowed, houses can decide their own requirements for pledges to fulfill before consideration.
During this rush period, October 14th to November 9th, Houses will be holding events specifically for rushing students. Students are encouraged to go to as many as possible and see how different the houses are, before narrowing your choices. No pledging activities will take place during this time. Once the month is over, you will then choose a house, and they will have the option to take you on as a pledge or not. Keep in mind that there are a limited number of spaces for new members to join via pledging, so you might be competing against your friends for those spots! Further pledging info will be posted at the end of Rush Month.
Houses, we ask that you post here letting us know when you'll be holding rush events. Please note that houses who do not participate in the school-wide rushing activities are not allowed to take in pledges for the duration of rush period. Remember, each house is required to host at least two events specifically for rushing students, one solo event, and one joint event with your brother/sister house. They don't have to be large formal parties. Grayed out days cannot be picked for Rush Month events. Bid week will run from November 10th-15th, and once all bids are out houses can begin pledging.

Can exchange students pledge for fraternities and sororities?
The answer is YES. Realistically speaking, it's not unusual that fraternities and sororities have international chapters, so an exchange student may be affiliated say with Yonsei ZTA during their stay in the university, and with the same sorority but in another chapter/country once they leave.
So yes, exchange students are welcome to pledge.
Fraternities and sororities, show your stuff! Pledges, good luck!
