Plans foiled again by Bell

Sep 22, 2009 11:35

It never ceases to amaze me.

Each time I have called Bell for service, I have pointed out that there is a conflict between the phone and the Internet.

And each time, they tell me there isn't, fix the service that's broken, and take off.

Then we get to call the other side to fix their service.

Rinse and repeat.

So on installation, phone was working, but Internet was problematic. Over 2 hours later, the guy got it installed.

But wait! What's this? Our phone stopped working! And the buzzer isn't working after those 2 hours he spent?

Call Bell. "Ah yes, are you sure it isn't something simple? Yes? Are you SUUUUUUURE?" They re-evaluated the phone line and reset it. Phone works.

Wait, now our computers won't connect.

Call Bell. "Ah yes, are you sure it isn't something simple? Yes? Are you SUUUUUUURE?" Let's ask you an hour's worth of troubleshooting questions and force you to do each step even though you've already done it. Oh crap...you really DO have a big problem...let's kick you up like you originally asked us an hour ago. Oh...we'll send a technician.

Technician comes, fixes Internet. Tells us how badly it was installed to begin with. Phone has dial-tone, Internet works. Yay!

Wait...now our phones won't take incoming calls...only outgoing. And that darn buzzer still doesn't work.

Call Bell. Repeat questions. Oh...we know you may have had plans today, just like the other days we sent technicians, but can you cancel them all again and stick around your apartment for 5 hours just for this guy to show up and take a look?

Yargh. This is why I HATE BELL...and I would not have subscribed to any of their services if they weren't are only option for this building.
