Four notes to bother any programmer...
Any of you out there computer programmers? Yeah, you know who you are. What about web developers? I know there are some of you too. What about course software developers? Can I get a shout out from my D2L buddies?
Well, if you belong to any of these groups..or you're just a fan of usability in the first place...I'd like you to read the following 4 notes that I have read over the last 12 hours after receiving an email from my online course instructor and from reading notes posted online in the course itself. (You need to click on it to make it full-size...through 2 screens)
It also occurs to me...having just finished capturing and posting these...that I forgot to logoff the course system properly. Oops! My bad!
I think fwifo's reaction was the best one, "Uhh...timeouts?!?!"
That would probably also fix the fact that they log your attendance in the classes by the amount of time you're online...since there's no timeout, people just leave their computers logged in and walk away for 5 or 6 hours. :)
