They say bad things come in 3s and I really hope that isn't the case right now.
I missed school again today (what's that? It was only 1 hour long today and downtown? Yargh).
I went to the doctor to get my lungs checked out since I've been coughing and hacking still...even after I've finished my antibiotics (a week ago). The doctor said nothing could be done unless there was evidence of blood coming from my lungs. Since that's not the case, I have to wait until I either get better or get worse.
I had him check out my back while I was there. I hurt it last Friday lifting boxes in the basement trying to get at my DDR Pads and a non-existent box of Christmas lights (turns out they were in Waterloo with Chris). I managed through the weekend, but this morning the pain became unbearable and it was hard to get out of bed.
The doctor poked my back a bunch and determined that I had sprained a muscle running from the top of my glutes to my lower back. This muscle is one of the ones that helps you stand and walk. It is also extended when you sit down. So it hurts to do all of these things. Yay. So he suggested I get some Robax Platinum to manage the pain and it'll be a matter of either days or possibly weeks until it properly heals. All he could recommend was that I stop going downtown because climbing up stairs was going to aggravate it more than anything else I could (and some of the subway stations only have stairs on the way up).
So I missed school today, and given how my back feels, I'll probably miss tomorrow (although I really don't want to). Friday is going to be important though. All the employers come on Friday downtown, and I have my grad photo, and there's a funeral in the afternoon that I need to go to.
jmmeacoe and
krease will be in Toronto that night having dinner downtown (like, WTF downtown around Queen St.) and another friend is having a Festivus party he wants me to attend in KW. (Doesn't Nicole realize how FAR Queen Street is! Ack!)
But I think my dad's right...I might not be in shape to do a lot of running around...especially since I REALLY can't miss Friday's school or the funeral. The funeral is WAY too important to me and Friday is a matter of getting employed for September (and my internship for that matter).
YARGH. I want to see people!
