so as a....before my rant note: i am fully aware that it is important to love your family, in particular your grandmother (we'll call her 'g' for short)
with that said...
Around...3:45 (right now, haha), G arrives at my house to watch a movie before we have dinner. She returns a book back to me I thought she might like to read (Life of Pi), but she "just could NOT get into it". No big deal, right? It's just these things accumulate, like the time we went to Dos Amigos (that would be a mexican restaurant) and she orders a fucking burger. So, G does not like mexican food, that's ok. However, she proceeds to complain to our waiter how her $3 burger and fries is not sufficiently prepared (pickles, lettuce, sesame toasted bun...you understand) Little things like that just set me off. There's also my FAV, where she truly believes that becuase she is over 80, everyone should bow down and take her advice. ie: when she tells me to get nasty ugly bedding for my college dorm, it looks like what she used to have. no thank you. OR when, on my 18th birthday, my mom insists we take her shopping with us and she can barely walk so i end up pushing her around in a goddamn wheelchair. At this point, I am now very angry with G, because I have now spent a day very important to me pushing her around Super-Target while she blabbers on about god knows what.
and of course, this was all set off because about 10 minutes ago, she told me she didn't like the book. argh
I'm done
