Oh man, I love Kid Mind. I seriously want more fic with him (which I guess is why so far this MM/MI series is planned to deal with KidMind for a while). He was just so sweet and adorable and awesome and cute. And I keep getting struck by the fact that we never hear him talk. (So now I'm pretending he shares Aang's voice actor--yes, total bald adorable kid connection. XD

Kid!Megamind breaks my heart, in all the best ways. I just. Every time I watch the movie, the first five minutes make me wibble. Sometimes out loud. And oh, goodness, now you've given him Aang's voice. *melts into a puddle of goo*

Kid!Megamind makes me so sad. The movie just really works at making me feel for Megs, especially his younger self. And Aang's voice fits Kid!Megamind, doesn't it? Ohman, the cute and the sad, can't stand it, but totally love it at the same time.

And it's both sad and spot on that Minion and Randall don't get it yet. (Actually, as much as I adore Minion, I'm not sure he ever really understood just how much Megamind wanted to be "normal.")I've kind of wanted to do fic where an upset Kid!Megamind cracks and asks Minion if he ever feels sad that there's no one else like him too. And Minion--he's not really sure how to answer since he's not precisely sure how he feels about that. His priority has always been caring for Megs. And I think that's the main thing with Minion, the priority ahead of whatever

I think I might do a little drabble on that. It's just, Minion seems like he'd be in the same boat, and I do feel bad for him, but he doesn't seem as affected by all of it as Megs, since he IS more focused on helping Megs that he doesn't seem to probe his own feelings, or simply have something like that. I think when Megs is a little kid he'd sorta pick up on that and approach Minion about it while feeling completely miserable, because he does want to know if his best friend feels just as horrible and ever wishes to be just like the others, at least other Earth fish (though I kind of doubt Minion saw many of those in his early life on Earth

That's good reasoning behind Minion sorta being a bit indifferent to being...different. (This may loosely relate--but I'm thinking of for some LULZ in a later MM/MI installment that Minion totally crushes on the banished Loch Ness Monster.)

That said, Minion doesn't have any more friends than Megamind does, so surely he still gets lonely?

Yeah...those two are like really all they had for the longest time. ;_;

That's what I was kind of thinking with Tangled/Megamind crossover...it'd have to be a chaptered AU and I don't think I'm up for that either.

I kind of think it would be amazing to see Megamind as the one who climbed Rapunzel's tower, instead of Flynn. I mean, can you imagine the warped picture she would get of the world from asking him?It would be neat! :D

And Nessie IS huge in comparison to Minion's actual size...and so far I'm thinking she has a thick Irish accent and is quite fond of the drink and maybe a wee bit crazy (canon gives no hint why any of the "famous" monsters were banished to the Human World in "Monsters, Inc.") and finds the humans looking for her amusing and rather loves baiting them occasionally. I was thinking that eventually Minion's crush becomes more sincere and is reciprocated and then he and Nessie are like Small Guy/Big Girl couple. XD And Megs LOVES teasing Minion about it from, from crush to actually getting together period.

Yes, I want henches Rapunzel and Minion just being affable and adorable together in the background of Megamind's schemes. XD And just the thought of Minion and Megs going crazy over trying to think of Rapunzel's henchwoman costume and code name (I'm thinking actually calling her "Tangled" for meta LULZ). And they make her a flying pan that can deflect lasers.
