Personality:

A likeable rogue, Greed makes friends and allies with ease thanks to his charismatic air and all around easy-going attitude. Greed is honest to a fault and never lies even when it might do him some good. He also refuses to hit women and generally doesn't like picking on people when they are much weaker than him. He really lives up to his namesake, preferring to have an excess of all life's luxuries: good drinks, good food, good clothes, and good company; pretty much anything he can get his hands on he'll claim as his. He loves being surrounded by people and though he has a tendency to use these people as a means to an end, he is very loyal to those he considers to be in his inner circle.

Though Greed is a very loyal friend, he has trouble trusting people completely, especially in a romantic relationship. He has been betrayed several times, the first being in his past life by Dante, the first woman he ever loved, who killed him and turned him into a homunculus, and then he was betrayed by his other lover, Envy, who he started an actual relationship with after becoming a homunculus. When Greed tried to defect from the other homunculi, he wanted Envy to come, but instead Envy lured him back and Dante sealed him in a room below the 5th lab for about 200 years. The most recent betrayal was by Kimbley, a mentally unstable alchemist that he freed from prison when he got out of the 5th lab, which resulted in the death of his other loyal gang members.

Even through all this, Greed still remains friendly and charming, and bounces back with relative ease and is willing to give people the benefit of the doubt, since they might be useful to him and his casual pursuit of world domination. He can be very generous if he decides he likes someone and wants them to be part of his collection of favourite people, but if you cross him, be prepared for a world of pain and regret.

Samples

First Person Sample:

[He hadn't noticed before, but there seemed to be weird music playing in the background, but it wasn't coming from his radio/phone thingamajig. He looks down at the little black doggish creature next to him.]

Say, Lucky, you hear that? There's some sorta music playin' an--

[The moment he steps out of the town limits, the music changes. He steps back and then it goes back to what it was. He steps forward again. Then back. Then forward. This goes on for a while, and Lucky whines at him.]

Heh. Sorry. Ah whatever. Maybe this means I'll know when I'm in th' next town 'r somethin'.

[He fiddles with his pokegear as he walks down the path, Lucky trotting by his side.]

I wonder if I c'n watch Perils of Pauline on this thing. That'd be awesome.

[Bored with the pokegear, he pulls out a pokeball to inspect.]

So...the old man said I chunk this thing at other creature things, and then that means they're mine?

[Lucky barks and pants happily at the prospect of new friends. Greed grins as he tosses the ball up in his hand.]

Bein' stuck here isn't half bad. I think I might like takin' over a place like this.

Third Person Sample:

Greed was not one to be surprised at waking up in an unfamiliar place, but usually it was next to some blonde or redhead. This time, no one, and the seedy motel mattress had been replaced by kid's bed. He rolled out of bed, feeling oddly spent, as if he was mortal again. He inspected the room and its strange gee-gaws and doo-dads, and out a window; it definitely wasn't Dublith, that was for damn certain. Though, there wasn't much left for him in Dublith at this point, no thanks to that backstabbing Crimson Alchemist.

Oh well, he figured then it was time to find a new gang. Greed rolled his shoulders and preened in front of a mirror, "Hey there good lookin', " he grinned at his reflection before moseying out of the room.

Some matronly woman was at the bottom of the stairs and he barely got a word in edgewise before he was shoved without much ceremony through the door with a large rucksack on his back. There sounded like there was something in the bag so he dropped it, fishing around inside until he located it, another weird looking whatchamacallit that seemed to have a little screen on it that reminded him of the nickelodeon down the way that Bido gushed about. But it looked a bit more like a phone or radio than anything else, except with pictures. Neat. He didn't really catch much of what the old coot in the lab coat was going on about, except that he was supposed to fight and collect these things called pokemon.

"What th' hell is a pokemon?" he mused aloud, and no sooner than he had when a little ball thing tumbled out of the bag and popped open, flashing with some weird red light that made him slightly wary until it turned into a dog-shaped thing. A wide grin broke out on his face, "Awesome. So this one is mine?"

He reached out to scruff the thing's ears while it wiggled in delight and panted. He wondered if it could fetch as well as Dorochet could.

"How about I call you Lucky, pup? I had a good friend what I called Lucky, an' he was like a dog too, y'know." The dog-thing barked excitedly and Greed smirked, "Well then, Lucky, th' name's Greed. How about we find some more folks t' join us?"

Lucky panted and gave a doggy grin back as Greed stood and hefted the bag on his shoulder again, looking for the path out of the little town.
