The smell of bacon and coffee woke him. Turning over, Edward wondered if he should get up or try to get a few more minutes of sleep. However, the fact that it was Saturday and that Greed had said that they'd be meeting in the morning, had Edward slowly pushing the blankets away. Throwing on his bath robe, he glared at the gray sky. His joints were beginning to hurt and he knew that by the end of the day, he may very well kill something or someone.
This, however, did not explain who the hell was cooking breakfast. The thougt hit him that maybe Greed had arrived earlier than planned and was trying his hand out. This of course, was the best explanation and Edward, despite th slight limp, hurried down stairs.
"Greed! I didn't know that you could..." he trailed off. The tall, black haired, Xing Prince standing at the stove wasn't what Edward wanted to wake up to. His mouth jaw flapped in surprise, then slammed shut. He shouldn't have been surprised at all. Ling always had this thing of sneaking in to places where he didn't belong.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Edward snarled.
"Is that any way for an Ambassador to greet a Prince of Xing?" the smirk came easily and just as easily - the homicidal urges to choke the ever living day lights out of Ling.
"Who is Greed?" Ling snarled, suddenly remembering the name Edward had called out. Edward, though, crossed his arms and looked smug.
"My boyfriend, who else would be here?" Edward asked.
"He isn't here now, is he?" the bacon was brning and Ling quickly took it off the stove. Damn, Ling even remembered how Edward liked his bacon.
"He will be," Edward replied. The clock struck eight and just then the bell rang.
"If he's your boyfriend than how come he doesn't have a key?" Ling challenged.
"Fuck you, I don't owe you any answeres," Edward huffed, then he turned and stomped down the hallway. He quickly let Greed in, knowing that, if it came to a fight, Greed could win easily.
"Guess who's here? or he might be gone, he has this diserbing thing of disappearing when you least expect it," Edward growled. He turned, but before he took a step down the hallway, Greed wrapped his arms around the smaller man.
"Did he hurt you?" Greed's gentle voie held a hint of anger.
"No," Edward replied. He turned and embraced Greed.
"I tod him you were my boyfriend, I think I made a mistake?"
"What? telling him or wanting me?" Greed grinned, even if he was a bit mad t Ling for daring to upset his blond demi-god - it was nice to know that Edward had let it be known that he all ready had someone.
"The first, I want you," Edward kissed Greed shyly on the cheek. The sudden coughing from Edward's unwanted guest made them pull away, Greed stepping in front of Edward in a slight protective/posessive way that made Edward raise an eyebrow in challenge. Not that Greed noticed.
"So, your Ling," Greed looked the young man up and down. He looked to be dressed for some sort of ceremony.
"Ling Yao, the Twlevth Prince of Xing, for your information," Ling smirked. Greed crossed his arms.
"Like I care, you leave Edward alone. He doesnt want you here," Greed replied.
"He has always wanted me here," Ling countered.
"Not any longer, his wishes are paramount here and if you even cared for him than you would leave him the hell alone," Greed replied.
"Oh, and who's going to stop my courtship?" Ling's hand went to the handle of his sword. Edward went to sand between them but Greed's arm stopped him. It was black from carbon and Edward knew that the only way to defea Greed was through alchemy. The change of the carbon to a weaker state. Lin didn't know Alchemy. Or at least, the last time Edward looked, he hadn't.
"I'd hate to kill you, but I won't let you take Edward from me. I am Greed and I destroy anyone who tries to take what belongs to me!" Greed anounced. His shiny, sarp, white fangs clicked warningly.
"I see that I have over stayed my welcome," he turned and strode down the hallway to the kitchen.Greed followed, after informing Edward to stay in the hallway. Not wanting to piss him off, though Edward had no idea why he felt that way, or why he even listened to Greed. He waited till Greed called to him.
The cooked bacon was gone, Edward noticed that Greed had thrown it into the trash. He was also pouring out the coffee; "That's a lot of money your waisting," Edward whinged.
"I'll buy you new coffee and bacon," Greed replied. It wasn't a snarle but Edward could tell that Greed wasn't happy.
"I never wanted Ling here, I never invited him in or anything. I just woke up this morning, I thought it was you cooking breakfast..." Edward hooked his arms around Greed's arm and lent into the bigger, stronger man.
"Ling just thinks he owns me, he doesn't, and neither do you," he gave a glare. Greed glared back.
"You accepted my being your boyfriend, we belong to each other," Greed replied.
"I...hadn't thought of it that way..." Edward felt his cheeks color. Greed laughed and tilted Edward's chin up so that he could easily kiss the blond on the lips.
"If a girl ogles me, you have complete perission to glare and snarl to your hearts content," Greed joked with a wink. Edward huffed as he stepped back.
"I'm going to go take a shower, will you make us some new coffee?"
"Of course, my love," Greed replied. Edward sashayed out of the kitchen, feeling much about this whole situation.

Snow was falling to the ground in a hurried blurry of activity. Edward wrapped his arms around him as he and Greed started from the house. His deep red coat lost any warmth it had previously held. Despite the fact hat the fabric was the best sort for winter. Greed put his arm around Edward's shoulders and pulled Edward into his side.
The small house the Alchemist owned wasn't far from the outdoor market; where Greed outfitted Edward with a heavy brown coat lined withbear fur from the northern slopes of Briggs. Next were gloves, a hat and a scarf. Edward felt like he was five years old once again. His mother bundling him up to go out side to play in the snow with the other village children. He liked the attention though, that Greed gave him. He liked the colourless coat with its fur.
"Let me pay you back," Edward replid, going for his wallet, but a hand over his stopped him.
"No," Greed's deep purple eyes were glowing in happiness, "I wanted to do it. I don't know much about Automail, but from what I read its a bitch in the winter,"
"Yeah, it is, thanks," Edward hugged him. Their afternoon went by fast and by the time Edward was escorted home by Greed, he wished that they needn't part.
Greed motoned for Edward to stay in the entry hallway while he checked out the rest of the house. It didn't take hm long to return; "There are no unwanted surprises nor any unwanted guests,"
"Thanks for checking it out, here?" During the moments that Greed had been absent, Edward had pulled out the third spare key he had. He handed it to Greed.
"Let yourself in whenever, okay?"
A soft kiss on the lips was his reply. Greed left after, telling Edward to lock the door behind him. Which the alchemist did. Then he shrugged out of his witer things and hung them out, carefully. He didn't know how, but everything smelled like Greed. Sunshine, wild flowers and oak.

Olivia gave each of her Genera's a look as she contemplated how to start off this conversation.
Ling Yao had surprised her in her own bedroom, thankfully she was never without a weapon and as the young man had tripped over furniture as she slasshed at him (hell she was pissed, she was in her silk night gown, what girl would like a voyer seeing her change?) - he explained why he had been waiting for her.
His message had been short and to the point; he wanted Edward Elric or he would mae war with Amestris - kill everyone and take Edward by force. She had to admit on a Military level that the Fullmetal Alchemist was much loved by the people. He didn't kill anyone, he didn't make excuses for his decisions, he put to rights anything he had destroyed. He was also very powerful and if Ling Yao was able to rest that power away from them, than Olivia knew that they would be made to be weak. Drachma would tae advantage and she would have a war on two fronts.
She explained this, watching General Mustang the entire time as the man, smirked. His gloved fingers were folded, his elbows were on the table and she knew he was thinking up contingency plans. The rest of the Genral's didn't share her idea of Elric's power.
"He is still a child," one said, General Rarii - a snow haired man who was a traditionalist.
"Eighteen makes Colonel Elric an adult," Kuroda, the only female General on staff, flipped her black hair over one shoulder.
"Elric is very talented, he passed the Alchemy test at the age of Twelve, are we really going to treat him with kid gloves? I am sure he'd protest," Mustang put in. He gave Olivia a look and she smirked back.
"Elric has the right to have a lover, and to reject anyone he doesn't think is worthy of him. Ling Yao should learn to accept it and move on," Alex put in next. There was a roung of nodds from the others.
"However, what if there is more behind this move than we see?" Kuroda asked, "From my research, I think that Ling Yao may use Elric's power in Alchemy to take the Throne of his own country. If Ling Yao could possibly manipulate Elric into beleiving that his family is in danger, or his lover, Elric may agree,"
Olivia had also seen that possibility; "I think we need to pull Elric off as Ambassador, give him back his feild job, keep him a Colonel. Let the people see him,"
Another round of Nodds.
"Mustang, I expect you to give the news to Elric," she informed and the midnight meeting was adjournd.

Edward didn't know what to say or what to do. All he knew was that they wanted the iconic red coat back on him. He nodded. He could guess, slightly, at why Fuhrer Queen Armstrong was demoting him. But, he still had the rank of Colonel and....his old feild job back. He could vsit Alphonse at school if any of his missions went that way, but first....
"The boarder's need to be check out and possibly reinforced," Roy explained. Edward nodded.
"Right, and since the brats will be here the entire time, I don't think that I'll run into any problems," Edward replied.
"Just be safe, this isn't a mission for you to blow things up. This is inteligence," Roy replied.
"Okay," Edward nodded.
"Be safe,"
"I will," and with that, Roy watched as Edward left his office, braiding the gold hair as he went.

"I don't like it," Greed moaned, Edward snickered.
"I love my job, I'm good at it," he shrugged. This would be their last dinner and Edward had decided to cook. In the front hallway was his suit case and his coat, waiting for him in the morning. Greed captured Edward's wrist and played with the bracelet there. He hadn't taken it off since he had gotten it for a birthday present.
"I'll keep an eye on this Ling fellow. He's bad business, not just for you, but for Amestris,"
"Ah, I didn't think you cared," Edward laughed.
"I don't want to see you being a concubine in that bastard's harem," Greed sniffed.
"I'd hate to be that concubine," Edward replied, winking.
"Just promies me you won' do anything stupid,"
"I won't," Edward primised, he sat down on Greed's lap and pulled the other in for a kiss.
