Don't try to find me.

[ooc: George will be alternating between the bar and locking himself in the backroom of the shop. Action for anyone who might know where to look/bumps into him.]

[ It's not fair. It's not fair, and she should be thinking about the others, too, but she's not because right now, they don't matter as much. ]

I'm so, so sorry.

[ But it's not enough, never will be, and she doesn't know what she can do via text... so she calls off work and goes out looking for him. Her hands are shaking, and she should be trying to quit but she ignores that fact in favor of lighting a cigarette, trying to occupy her hands and calm herself down before she runs into him.

The fact that she might not run into him at all is thought about and them ignored. She'll find him. She has to. ]

[He's holed out in a dingy booth in one of the seedier bars in The City. Something that will be open a noon at any rate. His emergency stash at the shop ran out.]

[ Seedy as it is, they don't ask her to put out her cigarette when she enters, but she does it anyway once she's realized she's in the right place. Ariadne finds him and slides into the booth, though she doesn't say anything. ]

[He reckoned it was only time before she found him. Ariadne has a persistence he hasn't seen in many people. He glances at her for only a moment when she slides into the booth, before looking back down at his drink. He takes a long drag.]

If my sister sent you, I'm not coming home yet.

Your sister didn't send me.

[ And she can't blame him for not wanting to go home. She's more concerned about him running away from her. ]

What are you drinking?

[He doesn't answer, just nudges the glass over. He's got about a fifth of whiskey on the rocks in it. She probably doesn't want to know which one he's on.]

[ Probably not, no. She eyes it for a moment, considering, before passing the glass back to him. ]

If you're not picky about where and what you're drinking, I know a place you can drink for free. I think there's tequila, though.

[ And as far as she's concerned, Eames can go fuck himself if he gets pissed because she didn't let him know anyone was coming over. ]

[He takes a few long moments thinking about that. The nihilistic part of him just wants to sit here for the next three days, avoiding everyone and getting as sloshed at possible. But he knows Ginny will find him eventually, and the one thing he can't stand the thought of is going back to the cabin, full of all those people from home. People who know. So he downs the rest of his drink and plonks a few coins on the table.]

As long as you have enough of it.

If not, I can get more.

[ She's fairly certain they have enough, though; with the amount of alcohol in their house, one might think she lives with a bunch of alcoholics. She slips out of the booth again, offering her hand (though she's half expecting it to be ignored). ]

[He doesn't take it. Instead he shrugs on his coat over his lumpy Weasley jumper and immediately shoves his hands into the pockets. He makes for the door, a step ahead of her.]

[ He's moving, at least, so she follows. Her hands are kept out of the pockets, but she doesn't try and grab him. She just walks, keeping an eye on him. ]

[Outside the cold hair cuts him like a knife, clearing some of the fog from his head. He uses the cold as an excuse to wipe the back of his hand over his eyes.]

How far is it?

[ She doesn't miss that wipe of the hand, but she doesn't comment on it, either. Instead she pulls her jacket around herself a little more. ]

Ten minutes?

[ There aren't any seedy bars in the area she lives in. ]

[He's more than content to take the journey in silence. If she wants talking, she'll have to initiate it. He keeps his hands jammed in his coat pockets, and stays a step or two behind her as they walk.]

[ She doesn't know what to say. What do you say to someone who's just lost their twin brother for the second time? And she still doesn't know the details -- George doesn't even know that she knows Fred is dead. She does glance back at him every once in a while, though, more frequently when they're closest to the bar and when it becomes clearer where they're headed. ]

[It doesn't take long before they're at the townhouse. He stands up the bottom step, waiting for her to open the door.]
