The one-for-all! The new Mauser M 18.
A big name with top value for money. Mauser achieved the best results in its recent corporate history using this recipe for success in 2017.
It has also further established itself in the top group of bolt action rifle manufacturers.
Now the Isny-based gun maker is going one further and, with its brand-new Mauser M 18,
presents another bolt action rifle which is "Made in Germany".
Costing well under EUR 1,000,
it makes the dream of a new Mauser a reality for all and has earned its nickname of the
"People's rifle" in a very short period of time. However, the designers have not compromised in
its construction, rather consistently applied the principles behind the German traditional brand
which has made it the world's most famous make of bolt action rifles. Ultra-sturdy construction
made of the best materials, concentrating on the essentials for its purpose.
Head of Sales, Dominikus Stadler, sums it up in a nutshell: "The M 18 compresses hunting into
that which it is: Pure craftwork with no frills. And the M 18 is just that - a perfectly balanced tool
which completely abandons everything you do not need while hunting, but which perfectly combines that which is absolutely essential."
In detail this means a solid-steel design with a sturdy 3-lug locking mechanism, a cold-hammered barrel, and a silently-operating 3-position trigger lug safety system. In addition, the M 18 shines out with its adjustable, crisp direct trigger mechanism and its removable 5-shot magazine.
The Isny-based company presents all of this on an anthracite-grey, ultra-sturdy synthetic stock which has two trump features, setting new standards in this price range. Firstly, non-slip soft inlays are integrated in the pistol grip and forearm using state of the art "1+1 K" technology, guaranteeing the perfect grip in every situation. Secondly, the butt plate is detachable without the use of tools, so that you can access a storage space in the stock.
Dominikus Stadler explains the idea behind this, making reference to the history of the brand:
A Mauser was, and is not just a rifle for its owners, rather a resilient companion which they are keen
to have at their sides particularly in difficult situations. It was therefore a simple decision to make the space in the stock usable - to store things from the cleaning cord up to a full survival kit; things which you want to have quickly and close to hand when situations do not go according to plan.
