heroes_slash is having some awards going on. You have heard about it. Now, I thought I might get one or two nominations for Best Matt/Ted (mainly because not so many people write them), but I was not expecting... this. Holy crap.
I do feel a little weird about the whole NC-17 Matt/Ted category because, as far as I know, the two fics that were nominated are the only two NC-17 Matt/Ted fics. So "Body Heat" is up against "Gas Station Blues" which is pretty fantastic. It just sort of seems weird to me, like my fic didn't get nominated for quality, but because it's the only one out there that would fit into that category. The two fics are also pretty different.
veetvoojagig's had a pretty good dose of humor, whereas mine... didn't. I just don't think I'm going to vote for that category. Having two run against each other just seems awkward to me.
I am a little sad that none of my Sylar/Mohinder stuff got nominated, but there's so many fics out there for that pairing that it's tougher to stand out.
I am running up against some touch competition from other great writers (and occassionally myself as well) in some of there categories. Still, super psyched just for the nominations (seriously, those anonymous nominators I cannot thank enough). Congratulations to all the other nominees as well. Best of luck to everyone!
