Thanks! This fic really got my mind going, so I may end up going back to this universe in the future. It was really fun to do.

Thanks. I guess even if Ted lived, those two wouldn't have it easy. Poor guys.

Yeah. I mean, Future Matt has it hard in any case.

Aww, poor angsty Ted! Lots of frustration in this story, but also some squee-worthy sweet moments. Particularly this one:

“If he’s living at your place, would he really be mine?”

“Just as much as I am.”

Made me smile. :) Great job! I really liked this, even though I hate to see these two angsting. I'd rather they just bickered. ;)

That line was my favorite part of the whole fic.

And I thought it was neat to have angst with these two characters that was actually based on them being in a relationship, instead of them not being able to be in one (or on Ted being dead).

Thanks for reading.

That made me sad, poor Ted, that would be worse than prison :(
At least in prison he gets to go outside, this way he's just plain trapped :(

He was well deserving of being a snarky ass toward Matt.
But at least Matt was trying, and offering him a dog (and saying that the dog and he) would belong to Ted was very sweet.

What happens the day he realises Matt is never coming back? :{

I thought it was fitting considering how dark "Five Years Gone" was. No one in that episode was happy, except maybe Sylar. But this fic was two years before that episode, so Matt, Ted, and Diego (the dog) had plenty of good times for a while. Matt's line about belonging to Ted was probably my favorite part of this fic.

I originally had a line in the story where Ted said he didn't even know if Matt was still alive since he hadn't seen him in weeks, and that if Matt ever did die he wouldn't know. But the line was clunky and I couldn't get it to flow with the rest of the story, so cut it was.

I had a lot of fun writing for this universe. It has the benefit of Ted being alive, plus plenty of opportunity for angst. I might do a sequel to this that's after "Five Years Gone." Who knows, Matt may have survived. And if he doesn't, that could make a good fic too.

So true :(

Awwww, that's good, at least they had some time together :)

It has the benefit of Ted being alive,

Which is a bonus :O

Who knows, Matt may have survived.

I guess, anything's possible :)

And if he doesn't, that could make a good fic too.

Good but sad (can you tell I really don't like sad *LOL* ;)

After recently rewatching "Five Years Gone" I think Matt has pretty good odds of living through everything. Maybe he, Ted, and the dog could make a getaway somewhere safe. Hell, this universe might be their best shot at getting a happy ending. Someone should, what with everyone else dying.

I think I've had enough angst with my Tedman fics for a while though. My next will definitely be much happier, maybe even bordering on crack territory.
