This poem was once posted here, but a very long time ago (over a year, I would expect). I copied and pasted it into a document on my hard drive . . . then lost that in a crash. So now I'm seeking what this poem was again, because now I can't even remember the wording well enough to google it (all my searches are in vain).
It was originally in Spanish, but an English translation was provided as well (I'd like to find both, if it's possible). The theme was what death was to each stage of life. The poem was from a first-person POV, I think, and likened each stage of growth to water, somehow. Like being really young had to do with a puddle, older a pond, then a lake, and finally old age to an ocean. The young didn't see death as real, it happens in stories maybe? As they grow, death is something that happens to adults, then to older people, and finally they're the age the "older people" are, and death happens to those around them. Something like that. It was really moving and I loved the imagery of it.
Thank you for trying to help me with this! :)
