Ha! This is absolutely awful! The metaphors are muddled and absurd. Even the 4 lines make absolutely no sense. A litany is not a "them" which can be "wrapped." It's singular and the metaphor doesn't pan out at all.

I am all for experimental and "exploring the connections between sex and religious ecstasy" poetry, but this is not any kind of good.
Agreed. Thanks for sharing, schroederjt -- great conversation starter. I question the merit, by the way, of even trying to put Def Jam Poetry into book form (as opposed to, say, audio); I'd wager less than half of it even comes close to working well on the page.
