PADARAK CENTRAL

Once ruled by King Epitav, and later on by his young son, King Leo, after the miasma that had forced its previous denizens out had lifted and the Dark Lord was defeated by King Leo's adventurers. If it had been grand before, then certainly, under King Leo's glorious, though brief, rule, and later on, Lady Chime and the returned-though-now-acting-King Epitav's hard work, it has prospered and become even grander! Now around twice its previous size, it houses not only the denizens of old Padarak, but the strangers the Crystal has brought in to aid in the safe and swift return of King Leo!

And being that Padarak is now home to people from other worlds, it is an odd, but still homely mixture of architecture local to the world Padarak is in, and to the other worlds the strangers hail from! Though, the Crystal has staunchly refused to allow buildings taller than seven stories to be built by Architek!

Outside its walls, the vast wilderness has prospered as well, and not at all in a good way alone. Though a miasma no longer threatens the tall walls of Padarak, a new kind of threat is lurking underneath the pristine scenery surrounding Padarak; Fiends, far numerous than before, far more dangerous, and curiously familiar in its organization, roam these uninhabited plains, marshes, forests, and deserts around Padarak. A wide expanse; a whole world… littered with danger, each one perhaps hiding the secret to the little King's disappearance!

In addition to the surge of fiends, elementite has reportedly become more abundant. On one hand, this is good for the ever-expanding city of Padarak, but what could it mean?

As of now, there are only several buildings/landmarks within Padarak that have a fixed description in terms of location. We'll add them as they pop up, but for now, we have;

+ The Crystal: This is at the heart of Padarak, literally; at the very center of the castle town. The Crystal is huge and is actually a very pretty sight to behold at night. It's surrounded by a wide square of space, so people can admire its beauty and, well, since it's at the very center of the city, there are shops around the place! The place is definitely pretty busy!

Very late at night, a hauntingly beautiful sound whispers from the Crystal, almost like a lullaby. Or maybe, it's that shine, translating into actual notes…

+ The Immigration Building: At one end of Padarak, on top of a hill, is the Castle where Chime and Acting-King Epitav, Pavlov and the Knight Hugh Yurg, reside. Now, just beside the stairs that ascend to the Castle, there the Immigration Building stands…! Just to the right, if you're standing in front of the Castle stairs and looking at the castle!

This is where the strangers from other worlds come and go-and of course, where the Padarak Welcoming Committee is at most of the time, welcoming the newcomers and introducing them to Padarak!

+ The Castle: This stands at one end of Padarak, on top of a hill, and facing the Crystal. It's where the important people of Padarak reside, and where the scattered population of Padarak, from before King Leo rebuilt it, are brought to courtesy of the moogle airships. There isn't much to do here for the normal people! Though, on holidays, the Castle opens its gates for the whole of Padarak to see into it… for celebration, of course!

+ The Royal Padarak Bank for All Peoples (RPBAP): This is a fairly new establishment that stands right beside the Immigration Building. This is where both Padarak citizens, and immigrants, can come to take out loans and open accounts to deposit their GIL in. They also offer safety deposit boxes that are impenetrable for any item that needs super protection.

GILTMs, money machines (think ATMs) are situated close to various shops. They are used to view balances or for quick deposits/withdrawals from the bank account.

+ Inns and Hotels: Since the expansion of Padarak, numerous Inns and Hotels have naturally popped up with its walls. From the traditional Inns, to modernized hotels, they can be found almost anywhere… it's to ensure anyone, and everyone who wishes to experience Padarak will be able to have a bed to rest in. After all, everyone does need sleep!
