Tonight, Martha and I are planning a small, well, we'll just call it a party, on deck. You're welcome to bring anyone and anything else you want. Inmates, wardens, it doesn't matter. As long as we can be civil to each other.

It's really nothing fantastic. Food, alcohol and other people. Sometimes we focus so much on the negative parts of this place that we forget there are other people around who are going through the same things. Or they've been through the same things. We've learned from mistakes, so why can't others learn, too? After all, we all basically want the same things, don't we?

Do you mind if I come in some time today between meals? I want to make something for tonight. It's nothing that requires any large effort or substantial amount of supplies.

[Elle had really hit a few buttons with Sveta and she felt she needed to get some answers. It was difficult, she knew, but she had to talk to him, or she would end up just avoiding the situation and, in turn, avoiding him. And they had agreed not to do that. So...taking a deep breath, she knocked twice on his door.] Neil, it's me.

let's change things up, feeling better maybe, checking on other people, complaints get you nowhere, motivational speeches
