past recording dvr idea

most DVRs allow pausing of live tv...and some record it and delete it as it comes in with an hour buffer...so you can rewind with in the past hour you watch. But DVRs don't allow you to save the past hour...except on PCs. Wouldn't it be great to watch something, like it, and save it?
