Backstory (Backdated like whoa)
Jean was gone.
Contrary to popular belief, he wasn't sleeping in one of the guest
rooms.
He wasn't sleeping at all. When he wasn't grading papers - because
classes still had to be taught, students still needed to learn, needed that
consitancy - he read. Books on wars, on grieving, on cars. It didn't
help, but it passed the time.
As the semester wore on, it was obivous to himeself, the professor, and even the kids, that he wasn't living up to his job. So when Xavier offered him a chance to escape, a sabbatical, he took it.
