I had been posting each completed operation in here as I went, but then it just got too tedious for all of us. However, Monday of this week was the 1-year anniversary of the day I broke ground on the thing (i.e. went shopping for the first bits), and it was only about 1-2 weeks ago that I finally finished it, hammering in the last shingles on the top and painting in the gables with tinted Thompson's Water Seal. I hadn't really worked on it since January, choosing instead to glare at it through narrowed eyes every time I went out to the garage this year.
In lieu of attempting to share the
collection of 46 sets on flickr, I - with some great help by my old pal, Jer (thanks again!) - assembled a fast-paced slide show. It had to be fast to squeeze all ~630 photos into the 10-minute YouTube video time limit. It's a bittersweet affair for me. It was a collosal time and money sink, but I do like having it, and it sure did free up space in the garage. It's amazing how much material this thing has sucked into its belly. It's just like how I am with pizzas.
