Making lolcats out of real ones, and other stuffs.

The cats that visit and hang out around the house, garage and yard are an endless source of entertainment for Jeff and I and, especially, Kodi. The cats (four regulars and a couple skittish visitors) know that Kodi will give chase at a moment's notice, and they've learned some tricks to send Kodi off on a wild goose cat chase when they are not up ( Read more... )

Glad the kitteh wasn't hurt, though I'm sorry the screen got mangled.

The story does remind me of how Cat (the 22# ginger tabby hunter I've written about on my own LJ) used to chase squirrels on the roof of the house... at first I was worried he might lose track of where the edge of the roof was and hurt himself, but he never did. It was comical to hear the skitter of a squirrel followed by the much heavier thumps of him chasing across the roof. I don't know that he ever actually caught a squirrel, but he sure seemed to enjoy the chase. ;)

I presume you know you should never pick up an adult cat only by the scruff; using that reflex to deal with a struggling cat is one thing, but you should support them with the other hand so not all their weight is being borne by the neck.

I agree: cats ought to be picked up with one hand under their butt - supporting their weight - and the other hand under their armpits.

The " Ceiling Cat is watching you" story is amusing only because no kitties were hurt. :)

How did you get that " Monorail Cat" icon to fit??? I've been trying to put the same exact icon in my LJ for a year now, and it won't fit, no matter how much I resized it. :(

Glad you are still able to do some projects!

Having a back up generator is a good thing.
Being able to move it where you want it is a good thing as well!
