It's been ages since I did a proper update of the current goings-on around and about The Garage of Mayhem. Really, there is not that much outside of the usual happenings. Work is still a soul-draining experience. Too bad the pay is decent ( Read more... )

1. The Costco in Columbia is nice. The soon-to-open Trader Joe's across the way is better! :)

2. spigotmd and I were attacked by one of those light/music trees in Michael's (Laurel, not Columbia) last week. It was awful. And loud! Ick.

3. Bah, humbug. Ever see the craptacular light show that is "historical" Laurel at Christmas? Yep, that damn musical tree, along with every crappy giant "snow" global, will be plastered in every yard this year. Again, ick.

Have you, or Phil, for that matter, discovered the grocery Nirvana that is Wegmans? I know there's at least one down in MD.

It is the thing I miss most about living in Upstate NY (where they're headquartered).....

Love Wegmans, but the closest one to me is in Hunt Valley which is a good 40 minute trek.

So, it's reserved for special occasions. :)

Ah, but I believe by this time next year, Columbia will have it's very own Wegmans, I believe somewhere near where the Apple Ford is now. :)

I doubt I'll ever get used to the idea that Christmas really arrives on November 1st...how witches and goblins are immediately replaced by Santas and elves. Our Country.

Hugz to you for addressing your Mom's stuff. Are you an only child? That is to say, is this process up to you to handle yourself?

Hugs on the mom stuff. that's got to be hard. I feel for you.

But life does move forward...so good for you for decorating and such.
