Been both hectic and full of apprehension here at the Manic Mechanic Orbiting Garage Headquarters the last few days. Yesterday I took Mom to GBMC in Balty for her cataract and glaucoma surgery at an ungawdly hour of 5am. -I like Western MD for a getaway. Deep Creek Lake is nice, though it's getting crowded. Ocean City was fun while I was in my 20s, but now it's overcrowded and expensive. Eastern Shore is nice still.

-I love the historical aspects of DC. Smithsonian, monuments, museums. The gay section is a lot of fun. I dont like the traffic, nor the crime. The latter two apply to Balty as well. I like the blue collar-ness of Baltimore. Unlike DC, Balty is much more working class, and that's part of it's charm.

-I grew up in Laurel.

-Something having to do with muscles. As usual.

-At work earlier in the week. A bunch of us were carrying on.

Glad your mom's surgery went well. She should see things clearer and colors better very soon. My mom had cataract surgery last month and commented on seeing colors much better - we had a spring bouquet delivered to the house.

Enjoying warmer, spring like weather up here as well. Hope it lasts for a while.. tired of winter.

She just made a comment how much clearer things are for her at a distance. This only a couple days since the surgery. THat's encouraging.

You need some hot guy of your choice to sprawl over the hood of your car in a suggestive pose at this event, like a butch gay version of the cover of Lowrider or a seedy garage-wall parts company calendar.

I will agree there. Problem is, there didnt seem to be that many to pick from at the last couple events. I guess I need to try different venues. ;)
