My goodness! Hello, LJ-version of you. Just lovely to see you here. :)

First, sometimes I need to do scut-work for my own sanity. That chapter was me purging myself of much rage and discontentment with the finale. I've set it aside for the moment, as I wasn't making progress (I don't want to write it unless I can improve matters, and I was stuck in a mire of angst and zero resolution). But I may yet resume work on it, if inspiration returns. Thank you for saying you would read it.

Second, I'm glad you liked the crack!fic. I got such a kick out of it, because it was the kind of thing I thought would (should!) be impossible to enjoy, but then I did enjoy it, from beginning to end. If you're bored and you find yourself in the mood to try other ships (sadly, I've had difficulty reading Alex/Addison of late), I keep a list of GA pieces that impressed me in my personal LJ. The Derek/Addison pieces by mardia and sweetnarcosis are particularly well-written, and that ship is very hard to pull off convincingly.

Finally, regarding this particular piece: it's just tagged "crap_fic" and hidden away because I was feeling retiring at the time-in personality, not just professional status-and because I didn't feel like facing the harsh exposure of ff.net. Plus, I'm always a little embarrassed when I write sap. *eye-roll*

But I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It was written in the hopes of cheering up a shipper friend after the disastrous "Desire" episode, but I'm glad it's been enjoyed by a few others as well. And, um, hello, this comment was incredible. (And made me blush like crazy!) Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this feedback. One comment like this, all by itself, is worth the effort it takes to write multiple stories....

I'm very new to fiction-writing, so I'm far more comfortable thinking of myself as a reader/critic. I sort of have a love-hate relationship with the writing process. But then I meet fantastic people like you, via postings, and I can't deny that it's all been worth it. So thank you for that. :D

Together, we are a small but determined band of fighters, and we will hold the main fort in DenialLand until the last man or woman has fallen....

Much love,
GG
