Must it be a historic person? Otherwise, I would have immediately chosen Achilles… all those who know me are aware of the deep respect I have for his character, and how closely paralleled I find my own aspirations, abilities, and temperament. Even Hephaistion is my own mirror-image of Patroklos.
But in this case, I will chose Homer, as he is the brilliant and influential author responsible for the Iliad, and the tale of Achilles and Patroklos.
