"Revelations."

One hour into the new year has brought up a lot of thought that lasts two years.

"What we hate is what we make."

Came back from Arianna's party. Once midnight struck, I tried to use my phone to call someone but then it said I was roaming. Looking at my phone, I had the most service I've ever had, but none of my calls could get through.

Same thing with everyone else's cell phone.

Shit like that makes you think "Apocalypse now!" in the guise of cell phone trickery. In fact, I am now home and my cell phone still does not work.

Regardless, I had a nice night out with Katherine and all those other cool, sober kids. Before the trip to her house I was just kind of sitting here, wearing shorts and no shirt or socks, picking the crust in my nose, and thinking about what the hell I was gonna do tonight.

Coming home to my neighborhood, there were three guys in front of a few cars talking. From far away, it looked like all three were plotting something crazy, and one of them looked like he had a knife (it was a lighter, they were lighting fireworks).

Speaking of which, I hate fireworks, especially the loud ones. It's bad enough that the house across from mine has all the Christmas lights in the world, visible from the fucking moon, so you're blinded whenever you try to go to sleep. But now we've got loud fireworks being ignited all over the place. Ask me? I say they are the goddamned devil.
