Ginny finishes her second glass of wine - it is pink and sparkling and slips easily down her throat, making her feel a little dizzy and the brightness of the room almost friendly. She is sitting alone, no one wants to be seen with the woman that jilted the hero of the Wizarding World, and as the evening progresses, the initial glances and whispers are getting louder and clearer. Ginny knows she isn’t welcome here, takes pleasure in their discomfort and meets their disapproving eyes with a smile as bright as a star. Her smile only dims when she notices that the waiters are all giving her a wide berth now and she has to leave the relative comfort of the red chaise in a quest for more wine ( ... )

“Weasley?” Pansy Parkinson sounds annoyed, but not in the detached way of all the others, her eyes are flashing with anger which is personal and directed at Ginny.
