About the Japanese, although I'm sure there are better places out there, you can also check out AnimeLyrics.com's Japanese forum. It's not only for people to ask for help with Japanese, but also to test and practice Japanese speaking and writing skills. And of course you can type in kanji in there. ^_~ Yes, you will definitely want as much practice as you can...I've heard that UH's Japanese placement tests are HARD. When I was taking my placement exam for Spanish, I overheard some Japanese-language students joking that all they were going to be able to answer was the "name" and "date" portion, heh. But that was, yow...about 10 years ago now, so I don't know if they've made it easier since then.
